Glendale School by Elaine Connell (Instructor) - Part
2
These children are always a pleasure to teach as they love coming
to riding and like to learn new things and have a bit of a
challenge. We have done paired riding which involves a lot of
concentration and the ability to either slow or speed up the horse
to keep in line with your partner. They have also been riding 20m
circles on their own while the other horses wait elsewhere in the
arena. Because of the type of work we do our horses like to follow
each other and it is not always easy for a rider to get his/her
horse to do something individual. This is a particularly good group
to teach as we have lots of fun and can try new things.
